DDD = Diesel daily driver (perhaps it doesn't qualify as race car...)

So VW is buying back my tdi so I can go buy another...
This past summer I did some trading + cash to get a couple sets of wheels and tires. So I am looking to keep the tires to sell and put a set of old tires on my least valuable wheels for when I turn it into VW. Then the hopes is to sell all the more valuable stuff to afford a new set of tires for my favorite wheels. Comprende? LOL!

Anyone know any good sources for a set of 225/45r17's?

Thanks!

Might be worth a phone call to O'fallon Tire to see if he has anything laying around. That or you can try the usual used tire shops like Mr. Ed's shop in Fairview heights.

Or go to the junk yards and see if you get lucky?

Post up a CL ad?

Hmm, junkyards...forgot about that one.

Posted a CL ad yesterday.

Called one guy who deals in used tires. He's asking $160, which is about $100 more than I was hoping to spend.

I'll call O'fallon tire and Mr's Ed's. Thanks!

So far nothing local. Will try M&M.

I have about a month. I have found one or two around, but not a full set. And ideally I'd find some in the pile to be thrown out for free.
